“One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well.”
It’s in the name- Foodies bring food (and we love them for it)!!!
Villagers who serve as foodies can be matched with a local foster family for six months to provide meals twice a month.
Matched Foodies strive to get to know the family’s personalities, food allergies, favorite foods and dislikes. They often go above and beyond by including desserts, drinks, opting for restaurant gift cards and even sweet surprises!
Foodies can also serve on our Rapid Response Team by providing meals for special events (training, meetings and more) or urgent needs (hospitalizations, new placements, freezer meals, etc) without being matched.
Don’t like to cook? You aren’t alone. Foodies can still serve and meet needs by hitting up the freezer section or deli at their local grocer and take out is never turned down- so don’t worry if you aren’t Gordon Ramsay.
Whether you are matched with a family, serving as a special event or urgent need foodie- you make a difference in the lives of frontline families!
